The house lights dimmed and a calm fell over the onlookers as they were suspended in anticipation. As the runway was illuminated, the first model emerged in a white dress which seemed to luminesce to the soft notes of the accompaniment music. At that moment, I was swept into a dream. A dream so peaceful that even one’s breath forgets to stir.
This dream was Tadashi Shoji. The long, billowing dresses and sophisticated patterns reflected the majesty of Venice’s Golden Palace. The models skimmed the runway like nymphs on the water, their eyes conducting a sense of peace. This tranquility flowed from the effortless glamour and refined femininity of the clothing itself.
